regndoftIn other news, uni continues to rock my socks off (HITTITES! and more Egyptians).
And, as I've been meaning to make a post like this for some time and need to distract myself from feeling guilty about not writing when I have the spare time for once... here is a list of fic ideas I've been meaning to write lately (and by lately I mean, like... the last six months?). Mostly Doctor Who, though not exclusively so.
- The epic Three/Delgado Edwardian AU fic I started for NaNo. JFC SELF GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER, YOU KNOW HOW IT ENDS ALREADY, SURELY SUCH PESKY THINGS AS PLOTS ARE FOR LESSER BEINGS?? Ugh but seriously, how come I magically lose my NaNo-writing abilities once november is over? :/
- the Master/Valeyard one that's been gathering dust for-freakin'-ever. It was originally conceived as a character study, but as usual I got distracted by the idea that there should be a plot... silly, really, as this one would actually work as pretty brief interconnected encounters.
- Seven/Beevers!Master, haunted-house-gothic-horror-pastiche thing. Would need to relisten to Dust Breeding, but the one thing really preventing me from writing this is that apparently I have decided that Ace and Hex must be in it? Which is a problem, as I've only listened to one audio with Hex. Gdi, brain.
- Seven/Cheetah!Master. The basic premise of nearly every fic featuring these two is that the Doctor comes back after the events of Survival and helps the Master get rid of the virus. Naturally, I therefore decided I wanted to write a fic where he comes back and doesn't do that (at first, at least).
(Why do I get so many plot bunnies for Seven? There's also that one where Seven is Seven and decides he has to come up with A GREAT COMPLICATED PLAN TO RID THE UNIVERSE OF THE THREAT THE MASTER POSES FOR ALL TIME... and the rest of the fic is just romcom hijinks while Ace rolls her eyes in the background. But I'm not writing that because I can't write comedy. Hah.)
- The Liz-thwarts-the-Rani ficand afterwards they elope and spend the rest of their days doing science and snarking at each other. Actually can't not write this in my life time.
- The one where Three and Jo end up in ancient Egypt and are for a second time at least as surprised as the Master to find him there as well. And there are murder mysteries and Egyptian court dramas. I decided that I wanted this as late as this morningbut mostly I just want the Master shirtless and wearing eyeliner; this is what uni does to me, apparently.
- Several short femslash ficlets and drabbles.
- Story based on the legend of St. George and the dragon, from the princess' perspective.
- American Gods thing, because Egyptian mythology simply won't let go of my heart (and neither will Neil Gaiman).

Date: 2013-01-25 10:14 pm (UTC)(and i do think i should listen to dust breeding again, as i listened to it pretty early on and out of context. could do with re-listening. i really like beevers's voice, which is great for the master, but big finish makes him so cross. which is sad).

But yes, there's not a lot to do with his version of the character, or at least they tend not to be as enjoyable... though Beevers!Master is technically Ainley, which is hilarious, and I was honestly surprised how delighted I was by Crispy of all Masters in The Oseidon Adventure.)
