Forgot about this last week. Haven't listened to that many audios in these two weeks though, so it all evens out.

The Kingmaker: FINALLY a Peri & Erimem audio that really knocks it out of the park. I don't even know where to start. It's hilarious, absolutely ridiculous, but still not without moments of tension and strong character beats. Richard III is a deadpan snarker. The entire subplot about the villain's true identity is gold. Would gladly listen to again. And again.

The Settling: Seven delivers a baby. This. This alone makes it worth a listen. Other than that, it's a remarkably bleak little audio. Hex gets a first taste of history and it bites back viciously. Not to everyone's taste, I reckon, but I liked it. Even when it hurt.

Something Inside: It... just... nah. It's not even offensively bad, just dull. The setting is boring, there is way too much torture and character death that neither have a point nor make way for any interesting character moments. Absolutely inconsequential and leaves you hollow afterwards.

The Nowhere Place: I don't remember much of this, so it can't have been particularly memorable... The bits on the train are pretty fun, but overall the plot feels rather far-fetched. And if you're going to play the cosmic horror card you're going to do it properly; this completely lacks atmosphere.

Red: An Orwellian city state that has removed violent impulses from its inhabitants becoming the site of a killing spree? Don't mind if I do. There is quite extensive worldbuilding in this one, which I have a weakness for, and a psychological horror feel to it. The identity of the killer is a bit naff, but I enjoyed the audio itself whole-heartedly so I don't really care.

The Reaping: Don't let any summaries fool you, this is actually just character drama disguising itself with Cybermen. I enjoyed the bits with Peri and her family, but I really can't stand the ending and the overall plot is more or less nonexistant. :/

The Gathering: Also a very mediocre plot. Tegan in this audio does not match my headcanon, which-- okay, might be shallow, but I really don't like the writer's interpretation of her post-Doctor life, despite some really nice moments with Five (the writer obviously ships it). It feels a bit like I listened to two hours of fanfic, in a not-good way.

Memory Lane: I really liked this one; it has a bit of a sideways-story feel a la The Mind Robber, and is refreshingly low-key.
